Phone Triage/Testing Technician

About this Position

Fast paced office seeking outgoing, energetic, team-oriented person with vision/eye care experience. Multitasking skills and strong computer proficiency is required. Applicant must be available to travel to both office locations in downtown Evansville and Newburgh Deaconess Gateway Hospital. Benefits available at our practice include medical insurance, dental insurance, 401k, vacation time (PTO), and short term/long term disability.

Main Job Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Triage all phone calls that come through the phone nurse line.
  • Monitor contact lens voicemail and any orders for patients calling in to be placed.
  • Process contact lens orders and provide contact lens education to new contact lens patients
  • Maintain and work through doctors’ files. This includes refills, sending chart notes to outside doctors, lab results, etc.
  • Make reminder phone calls to patients as needed.
  • Any additional job functions requested by TVCC doctors or management.

Visual Fields / Equipment Testing

  • Provide Testing on Visual Fields equipment.
  • Provide Testing on OPTOS, OCT, and Pentacam
  • Any additional job functions requested by TVCC doctors or management.
