EVO ICL
Break Free from Glasses & Contacts
What is EVO ICL™?
EVO ICL, or Implantable Collamer® Lens, is clinically proven to correct common vision problems such as nearsightedness with or without astigmatism.
EVO is for someone looking to reduce or eliminate the need for glasses and contacts, as well as an alternative to existing vision correction procedures such as LASIK.
Unlike many vision correction procedures, EVO adds to the eye, instead of removing corneal tissue. The ICL, a biocompatible, flexible lens made from Collamer, is placed into the eye between the iris and the natural lens to correct vision. This allows your eye to work naturally with the ICL to provide sharp, clear vision during the day and at night, built-in UV protection, and does not induce dry eye syndrome. Plus, because this procedure adds to your eye instead of removing corneal tissue, the ICL can be easily and safely removed by your doctor, if necessary, and allows you to keep pace with advancing technology and future vision needs.

The EVO Procedure
EVO is virtually painless with numbing drops and takes less than 20-30 minutes for both eyes. The procedure is known for fast recovery times and typically little downtime. Because EVO doesn’t remove any corneal tissue, it is also suitable for candidates with thin corneas.
This easy 20-30 minute procedure begins with numbing eye drops. Your doctor then creates a small opening at the edge of the cornea to insert the ICL. The lens is then folded and inserted through the small opening. Once the lens is inserted, your doctor will make any necessary adjustments to position the lens properly in the eye. The procedure is complete! The ICL is not visible to you or others, and patients typically experience improved vision almost immediately.
